By this time, I should be arriving Faro. Flying over the “Ria Formosa”, seeing all that beautiful islands… But thanks to a great volcano, which started his activity more than one month ago, I’m still in The Netherlands.
Yesterday I checked the EUROCONTROL's, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation website and on the airport's website. There were no news regarding the ash cloud.
This morning I got up at 7h a.m. to be sure I would be on time at the airport. When I got to the airport, as usual, I checked the board for my flight – it was cancelled! I stood up in line for 2 hours to book another flight, and I also postponed my return… so let’s see if Wednesday it’s possible to flight.
I just think we would deserve a call or a text message. My partner lost a morning of work, we spent fuel, time and we had to pay the park, for nothing. And we will have to do it all over again… :(
It’s nobody’s fault, remember that! It’s just nature telling us she is bigger than us!
I hope to see you soon!
:(
